The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its new financial policy on the 13th of last month, which primarily requires 30% of cricket's total revenue to be allocated for expenses in 2026. The aim of this policy is to provide recommendations for reducing ticket prices for spectators even after the increase in players' salaries.
According to the Bangladesh Cricket Board, this new policy includes a provision for teams to spend a specific portion of their earnings, namely 30% of the total income. As a result, teams' earnings will increase by 30%, enabling the development policy of cricket to proceed according to the guidelines.
This new financial policy will increase the salaries of cricket's players, leading to a rise in players' pay. This will boost the salaries of cricket players as per the development policy guidelines.
